As the holidays approach, we hope you will recognize this as a time for giving and thankfulness. At Nor-Cal Floor Design, we love taking advantage of opportunities where we can give back to the community. Here’s a few we are involved in that you may want to consider:
- Truckee Tahoe Humane Society is an amazing organization. Each year they put together a dog themed calendar. We were lucky enough to be able to sponsor the Rescued Dogs Diggin’ Donuts calendar for the month of July. The Humane Society allows for stray pets to be well taken care of until their forever homes are found. If you are interested in helping the Humane Society, here is a link to their website where you can purchase their calendars! Everyone will need a new 2016 calendar; this will make the perfect gift!

- 826 Valencia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting under-resourced students ages six to eighteen with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. After watching Dave Eggers TED Talk we felt compelled to help. When the newest location opens in 2016 at 180 Golden Gate in San Francisco, you will be able to find our wood floors under your feet. The building is being renovated into a safe & welcoming Pirate Store & tutoring center that offers writing skills to help create a successful future for those in need.
